ABS Quality Evaluations Brazil Aids Businesses in Achieving ISO Certifications Expanding South American Reach
The ABS Quality Evaluations team in Brazil (ABS QE Brazil) has continued in its efforts to support certification in the South American region, most recently by aiding three companies in achieving multiple ISO certifications and additionally by speaking at the ESG Regional Meeting Sorocaba City Event by Certifica, a consulting company.
ABS QE Brazil has been working with various global brands in Brazil to help them achieve increased compliance with mandatory industry standards. Dominic Townsend, President of ABS QE, recently visited the country to connect with a few of these clients and help them better ensure the success of their enhanced business practices and protocols.
The first visit was with Softys, a global company with over 40 years of history in leading Latin American product and solution development for personal care. The company was set to receive the ISO 50001 certification within a few weeks of the visit, thanks to the successful audit conducted by ABS QE Brazil.
Afterward Townsend visited with Dana, an American supplier of axles, driveshafts, transmissions and electrodynamic, thermal, sealing and digital equipment for conventional, hybrid and electric-powered vehicles. This visit was conducted at their Sorocaba plant and confirmed the appropriateness of their receiving the ISO 14001, 45001 and IATF 16949 certifications.
In addition to visiting various facilities across Brazil, Townsend spoke at the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Regional Meeting in Sorocaba City. During the meeting, the ABS QE team answered questions about ESG and sustainability. Likewise, Townsend addressed the global trends around ESG, utilizing his expertise and experience in working with large companies seeking sustainability solutions worldwide.
A final visit was paid to Copa Energia, the leading bottling, marketing and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) distributor in Brazil and Latin America. With 3,900 employees and 25% of the market share in Brazil, the facility bottles more than 9.9 million cylinders monthly. ABS QE Brazil awarded them with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 upon the completion of multiple audits.
ABS QE continues to utilize global exposure and local prowess to further its presence in the South American region and aid Brazilian businesses in achieving compliance.
