ABS Group Receives 2018 St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers Best Practice Award
ABSG Consulting Inc., an ABS Group company, has been awarded the 2018 St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers Best Practice Award for the Company's advanced engineering work on the K-Cafeteria (K-Café) structure at the Monsanto campus in Creve Coeur, Missouri. The project also received the 2017 Building Envelope Council Waterproofing Project of the Year Award.
The K-Café structure, which includes the building and adjacent tunnels, was constructed in 1966. The facility had experienced water leaks into its occupied spaces, which had resulted in damage to the interior finishes. To address this issue and prevent further water infiltration through the structure, ABS Group was selected to provide advanced engineering services during the construction of
In addition to these awards, last year the Advanced Engineering division of ABS Group was awarded the 2016 Outstanding Concrete and Masonry Historical Repair Project Award and 2016 Outstanding Transportation Concrete Repair Project Award by the Great Plains Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute.
