ABS Group Presents Utah Correctional Industries (UCI) With ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Work scope includes architectural and engineering services to increase community safety

ABS Group recently presented Utah Correctional Industries (UCI) with a certification for ISO 9001:2008, the international standard for quality operations. Vice President Dominic Townsend and Business Development Manager Paul Carey visited UCI and presented the certificate to Director Alan James.

UCI provides training and real-world work opportunities to inmates in areas such as construction, upholstery, furniture, print, sign and plate shops. These programs help inmates stay positively engaged and earn money to support their families. Over the past 30 years UCI has been in operation, inmates participating in the program have accounted for a 13 percent reduction in the inmates likelihood of returning to prison."
