International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949:2016 Transition Overview
The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949:2016 automotive standard was released in October 2016. In addition, the IATF Rules were updated in November 2016. All audits after October 1, 2017, must be performed to this new Automotive Standard as well as meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
This webinar will provide an overview of key changes to prepare automotive suppliers as they transition from ISO/TS 16949:2009 to IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015. Our goal is to provide transition guidance and help improve the transition process for automotive suppliers by covering the following:
- Transition timeline
- Gap analysis
- Documentation review

Vickie Betras
Vickie Betras is the Global Automotive Program Manager at ABS Quality Evaluations. She has nearly 30 years' experience in Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing, multinational quality systems management and experience with ISO 9001 and TS 16949, as well as the associated accreditation governing documents for the Automotive sector. Betras has been auditing management system standards for more than 20 years as an IATF Certified Lead Auditor who has conducted hundreds of TS audits. She also worked for an automotive supplier for more than 10 years providing certification services to Ford, GM and Chrysler. Her automotive industry experience includes auditing various manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, injection molding, machining and painting.
