How to Effectively Perform PHAs Remotely
Learn best practices and tips for conducting a remote process hazard analysis (PHA) meeting effectively during COVID-19 distancing and beyond.
Complying with PHA/revalidation deadlines amid COVID-19 can be challenging when plant personnel and other subject matter experts are required to work from home, avoid travel, limit group sizes and maintain safe distances. OSHA has stated that it expects companies to make good faith efforts and thoroughly explore all options for complying, including "remote communication strategies." This presents an opportunity for companies to use Web meeting tools to complete their PHAs remotely, both now and in the future.
In this webinar, we will share our years of experience in conducting remote PHA meetings, including unique considerations involved in setting up and preparing for remote meetings. We will explore the Web meeting sofware options and discuss best practices for sharing and viewing P&IDs and other process safety information during a remote PHA meeting. We will provide advice on preparing analysis sections (nodes), establishing Web meeting roles and making sure participants have what they need for an efficient online PHA meeting. And, we will offer in-meeting tips from our most experienced PHA leaders in keeping team members active, engaged, and working together for an efficient and effective remote PHA meeting.
What We Cover:
- PHA Web Meeting Software, Hardware and Training Needs
- Remote PHA Prep, Setup and Pre-Meeting Testing
