Webinar
Everything You Need to Know About the CMMC Ecosystem (Part One)
As cybersecurity threats across the Nation increase, organizations are taking proactive measures to protect themselves and the public from attack. This sense of urgency is heightened in the government sector, as organizations that support agencies like the Department of Defense (DOD) are at a higher risk due to the sensitive information they create, process and store. Simply put, a cybersecurity breach can jeopardize the safety and security of the United States should foreign adversaries, hacktivists, organized crime or any other threat actors gain access to it.
To mitigate these cybersecurity risks, the DOD will require organizations that wish to participate in any of its contracts and obtain access to controlled unclassified information (CUI) to meet CMMC 2.0 requirements, a program based on FAR 52.204-21 and DFARS 2252.204-7012 requirements.
In part one of our CMMC webinar series, our resident cybersecurity experts will explore a holistic overview of the CMMC ecosystem today, including the current state, ongoing timeline, and revised CMMC model. In addition, we will discuss the most commonly asked questions about the certification process and provide a clear understanding of when and why an assessment/certification provider is needed. In part two, we will be discussing what a Certified Third Party Assessor (C3PAO) is and the different assessment types within the CMMC certification program.
