Changes in IATF 16949 6th Edition - What You Need to Know

We will highlight the key changes that may impact your audits and invoices:
- Manufacturing Site Audits: Minimum duration is now 1.5 audit days.
- Audit Duration Reduction: Maximum total reduction is now 30%.
- Corporate Scheme Reduction: Maximum reduction is 15%, regardless of the total number of sites.
- Audit Frequency: Semi-annual audits are no longer permitted; all audits must be conducted annually.
- Extended Manufacturing Sites: Must be within 10 miles and within one hour driving distance from the main manufacturing site.
- RSL Audits: Each RSL must have at least 0.5 audit day assigned.
- Audit Preparation and Planning: A mandatory 0.5 day will be charged for off-site preparation and planning.
- IATF Royalty Fee: The 5% pass-through fee is now based on the entire invoice, excluding travel expenses.
