Cal/OSHA's PSM Regulation: Damage Mechanism Reviews

September 29, 2016 | 10:00 - 11:00 am CDT

Due to recent refinery and process industry accidents, regulators have identified the lack of proper identification/assessment of fixed equipment and piping damage mechanisms as a contributor in several events. Regulators are currently working to address this apparent shortcoming by updating process safety management (PSM) related regulatory requirements, with Cal/OSHA as the first regulation to be updated.

This webinar will address the following topics:

  • What is a damage mechanism review (DMR)?
  • How is a DMR performed?
  • Why perform a DMR?
  • How do you use a DMR to improve process safety?
  • What are the new DMR regulatory requirements?
  • How can a facility meet these requirements?

Webinar attendees/personnel responsible for DMRs and PSM programs will obtain a better understanding of industry practices and regulatory requirements related to DMRs.
