Project Overview
Since its founding in 1946, Sanken Equipment Industry/Sanken Environmental Engineering has been supported by customers and partner companies as a leader in creating a decarbonized society. Their mission as an “environment-creating company” related to air and water, is to contribute to society by providing advanced technologies to their customers through the design, construction, and service of facilities. To move forward in their societal contributions, Sanken determined the need to achieve International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards for their headquarters located in Tokyo, Japan.
As a leading company in its market, it turned to ABS QE to improve operational efficiency through standardized operations related to BIM, increase customer trust through reaffirmed commitment to the environment using advanced technologies, and move forward in responding to the various needs of its customers.
Client Needs
Develop BIM-related products in-house, beginning with acquisition of ISO certification
Utilize BIM data to improve efficiency of on-site work
Be able to offer developed BIM products externally to its partner companies in the future
Our Solution
By introducing the requirements for information management in the form of a management process, we were able to provide recommendations for a framework to best manage information specific to the customer. With their interest in potential development of BIM operations as an Appointed Party, and for potential future development as Lead Appointed Party, we provided suggestions as to how to attain the goal.

ABS QE was able to contribute the ISO: 19650:2018 certification to Sanken Setsubi Kogyo Co. making them the first domestic facility construction company in Japan to gain the ISO 19650:2018 certification.
