Complaints and Appeals Process

Appeals

ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. (ABS QE), a subsidiary of ABS Group, provides its customers with a contractual right of appeal. The appeals process provides a formal procedure for resolving client and third-party disputes such as certification-related ABS QE actions, determinations, or decisions. All appeals can be made in writing through this web form or in writing addressed to:

ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc.
1701 City Plaza Drive
Spring, TX 77389

Appeals must be addressed to the Certification Department. If the problem is not yet resolved, the customer can raise the appeal with the Operations Department. If the problem is not yet resolved, the customer can make a final appeal to the President of ABS QE. If no mutual agreement has been reached after the President has reviewed the situation, the client may request an additional appeal under the Conciliation and Arbitration Rules of the International Chamber of Commerce. Arrangements for a higher appeal are made by the Certification Manager and such appeal will be governed by New York law and processed in Houston, Texas.

Complaints

Complaints to ABS QE or any of its customers may be filed with any ABS QE employee. Complaints can be filed in any form of communication, including by completing this web form, letter, email, in person or over the phone. The recipient of the complaint will attempt to resolve the issue, if possible, and document the results. The complaint will be routed to the respective authority at ABS QE to address. If additional action is needed, ABS QE will take steps to ensure that the complaint is resolved in a timely manner. A resolution will be determined, presented and ultimately agreed to. Once the resolution has been deemed acceptable by all parties, the complaint will be closed.
